Muchas son las especies de peces que habitan sus fondos y precisamente por este motivo la localidad est\u00e1 entre las m\u00e1s populares para quienes aman el buceo.<\/p> \n<p>La fauna y la flora que caracterizan este tramo de costa constituyen un ecosistema muy particular: aqu\u00ed viven el halc\u00f3n peregrino, el cern\u00edcalo y el milano, los cuervos imperiales, aves lim\u00edcolas, zancudas y gaviotas. La reserva de Torre Salsa es adem\u00e1s un importante h\u00e1bitat para las tortugas marinas: la tortuga marina de la especie Caretta caretta, la m\u00e1s extendida en el mar Mediterr\u00e1neo, cada verano pone sus huevos en estas playas.<\/p>\n<p>De particular inter\u00e9s ornitol\u00f3gico es la zona llamada \u00abPantano\u00bb, lugar de parada y nidificaci\u00f3n de numerosas especies de aves
