This summer too the Archaeological Park extends its opening with the evening visits<\/strong>: from 20 June to 20 September 2026<\/strong> you can stroll among the Doric temples as the sun sets over the sea and the sandstone glows red and gold, until you see them lit up at night.<\/p>\n

Why visit the temples at sunset<\/h2>

By day the Valley is splendid but hot and crowded; in the evening the experience changes completely. The temperatures are pleasant, the light is perfect for photographs and the illuminated Temple of Concordia<\/strong> is one of the most evocative sights in Sicily. It is the experience we always recommend to our guests, especially in high summer.<\/p>

Visiting hours vary depending on the day of the week: weekdays 8:30\u201323:00<\/strong> (last admission at 22:00), pre-holidays and holidays 8:30\u201324:00<\/strong> (last admission at 23:00). Evening openings have a limited number of places: it is best to buy your tickets in advance<\/strong> through the Park's official channels. Visiting the Valley of the Temples at night: the experience<\/h2>\n

Walking in the Valley of the Temples at night<\/strong><\/a> is an emotion hard to describe: the illuminated paths, the Temple of Concordia<\/strong> glowing in the dark, the scent of the Mediterranean scrub and the silence broken only by the crickets. It is a completely different way to experience one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, away from the heat and the crowds of the central hours.<\/p>\n
