This summer too the Archaeological Park extends its opening with the evening visits: from 20 June to 20 September 2026 you can stroll among the Doric temples as the sun sets over the sea and the sandstone glows red and gold, until you see them lit up at night.
Why visit the temples at sunset
By day the Valley is splendid but hot and crowded; in the evening the experience changes completely. The temperatures are pleasant, the light is perfect for photographs and the illuminated Temple of Concordia is one of the most evocative sights in Sicily. It is the experience we always recommend to our guests, especially in high summer.

Visiting hours vary depending on the day of the week: weekdays 8:30–23:00 (last admission at 22:00), pre-holidays and holidays 8:30–24:00 (last admission at 23:00). Evening openings have a limited number of places: it is best to buy your tickets in advance through the Park's official channels. Visiting the Valley of the Temples at night: the experience
Walking in the Valley of the Temples at night is an emotion hard to describe: the illuminated paths, the Temple of Concordia glowing in the dark, the scent of the Mediterranean scrub and the silence broken only by the crickets. It is a completely different way to experience one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, away from the heat and the crowds of the central hours.
