B&B MiraValle Agrigento is just a 250-metre walk from the main street of Agrigento (Via Atenea).
On top of the hill of Agrigento you can admire the historic centre, characterised by its typical Arab layout, with its small alleys and courtyards converging towards the Via Atenea, which is still considered the most important artery of the city today.
the Via Atenea from Porta di Ponte, runs through the entire historic centre, lined with beautiful palaces and numerous churches built in sometimes completely different styles, which hold inside true treasures of sacred art, very often unknown to the general public.
Among these, inside the churches, you can see numerous works by Serpotta and by Gagini. The churches of theAddolorata and of San Francesco di Paola, located in the working-class district of Rabato, of San Giuseppe, San Domenico, dell'Itria or Sant'Alfonso, dell'Immacolata and of S. Maria dei Greci built on the remains of a Greek temple, are characteristic and valuable.
In the old heart of the city there are still small taverns where wine is poured and salted sardines and crushed olives are served.
