You know the scene: a forced early start, breakfast served from 8:00 to 9:30, a shared room, a shared buffet. If you get up early for the Valley of the Temples at dawn you go hungry; if you're on holiday and want a lie-in, you skip it. At B&B MiraValle Agrigento things work differently: breakfast has no set times, because most of our rooms have a private kitchen for exclusive use. On this page we explain exactly what you'll find and why it changes your stay.

Breakfast, whenever you want
Here there's no breakfast time slot and no shared breakfast room. You have two options, and you choose each time:
- You make it in your room, whenever you like. An espresso at 5:30 before heading off to the Valley of the Temples? Cappuccino and a pastry at 11:00 after a lie-in? Nobody says a word, because the kitchen is yours, for your exclusive use.
- You ask us and we prepare it for you. Breakfast is available as an extra on request, from €5 per person per night: just let us know when you book, or even during your stay.
The upshot is that you can have breakfast on your own balcony, with the sea and the Valley of the Temples in front of you, in your bathrobe, at seven or at eleven. For many of our guests it's the best moment of the day.

What's really in the in-room kitchen
When you read “kitchenette” you often find one hob ring and two cups. Here, in the rooms with a kitchen, the equipped area for exclusive use includes:
- 🍳 Kitchenette with a gas hob
- 🧊 Fridge with freezer
- ☕ Espresso machine “Lavazza A Modo Mio”
- ☕ Filter coffee machine
- 🥛 Milk frother
- 🫖 Kettle for tea and herbal teas
- ♨️ Microwave oven
- 🍞 Toaster
- 🍽️ Crockery complete: plates, glasses, cutlery, pans
In other words: you can do your shopping and actually cook, not just heat something up. And Room C also has a private laundry with washing machine, which after a few days of travelling is worth more than you'd think.

What difference it really makes
It's not an abstract convenience: it changes the way you experience your holiday. Here are the cases we see most often.
Early risers (and late returns)
In summer the Valley of the Temples is best visited early, when the air is cool and the light is beautiful. With a fixed breakfast time you'd have to give that up. Here you make your coffee at 5:30 and off you go. Same on the way back: you get in at one in the morning from a concert, make yourself something and don't have to hunt for anywhere still open.
Families with children
Warm milk at 6:30, a meal outside mealtimes, a bottle to sterilise, a snack in the fridge: with a kitchen in the room you stop organising the day around the property's timetable. The triple rooms and the quadruple were designed exactly for this.
Allergies, intolerances and diets
Coeliac disease, lactose intolerance, a vegan diet, food for a small child: instead of hoping the buffet has something for you, you buy what you need and keep it in the fridge. It's the simplest and most reassuring solution.
Long stays and budget
Over a week, being able to eat in your room even just two or three evenings makes a real difference to the final bill — and in Agrigento there's a market and excellent delis a stone's throw away. And if you stay a while, the washing machine in Room C saves you hunting for a laundrette.

A classic B&B and B&B Miravalle compared
The classic model works perfectly well for many travellers, and we have nothing against it. But if what you're after is independence, the difference is this:
| Classic B&B | B&B Miravalle | |
|---|---|---|
| Breakfast | Fixed time, usually 8:00–9:30 | Whenever you want, no set times |
| Where | Shared room with other guests | In your room or on your balcony |
| What | Whatever is on the buffet | Whatever you choose (or on request from €5) |
| Kitchen | Not available | Private, for exclusive use in 6 of the 8 rooms |
| Dinner in your room | Not possible | Yes, with hob and crockery |
| Laundry | Outside launderette | Private washing machine (Room C) |
| Check-in | Within reception hours | 24-hour self check-in |
In short: the freedom of an apartment, with the care and the location of a B&B in the centre of Agrigento.

Frequently asked questions
Is breakfast included in the price?
It's an extra on request, from €5 per person per night. Many guests prefer to make it themselves in the room, at their own times and to their own taste: that's why we've kept it optional instead of loading it onto every rate. You'll find all the details on the rates.
Can I really cook, not just heat things up?
Yes. The rooms with a kitchen have a gas hob with pans and crockery: you can cook a plate of pasta without any trouble. We only ask for the common sense to air the room and leave everything clean, as you would at home.
Is there anywhere nearby to do the shopping?
Yes, we're right in the centre a stone's throw from Via Atenea: between shops, bakeries and delis you'll find everything within a few minutes' walk. When you arrive we'll gladly point out our favourites.
If I arrive late at night, will anyone be there?
No need: the self check-in is available 24 hours a day. We send you the instructions before you arrive and you let yourself in whenever you like — especially handy if you arrive on the last bus, as we explain in our guide on how to get to Agrigento.
In two words
If you're looking for a place where nobody tells you what time to have breakfast, where you can cook, do your washing and come in at midnight without disturbing anyone — but with the old town and the Valley of the Temples a stone's throw away — then yes: B&B Miravalle is different from the B&B you're expecting.
